Best Practices Within Reader's Workshop
In this series, participants will learn how to establish a literacy environment, including setting up a classroom library. Participants will learn about the structure of a reader’s workshop where students actively engage in independent reading, guided reading, and literature circles. A strong emphasis will be placed on teaching for strategies in reading, strategies that enhance comprehension, and test-taking skills.
